I always order the same thing so I can only comment on it. The creamy crab is the bomb!!! I remember the first time I got one after a friend encouraged me to try it on my first visit. I just kept looking at the menu with a look of disgust on my face. It just didn't really sound good to me, but I trusted them and have never strayed. I don't eat at Planet Sub often, but it is all about the creamy crab when I do. Crab, bacon, cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a toasted sub is the perfect little sandwich. Other people I have dined with seem to really like the rest of the subs they offer, but I don't understand ordering any other sub. I have tried the potato soup and it is just as delicious as the creamy crab sub. So are the cookies. Service is always friendly. Sometimes the restaurants are kind of messy and they don't seem to staff for someone to clean up after people during busy times. My only other complaint would be that they don't deliver, but I would weigh 400 pounds if they did so that isn't really a complaint! ;)

I ordered a couple of sandwiches for delivery, and both the guy who took my order and the delivery guy were super friendly. My food was delivered crazy fast, and the sandwiches were way tasty. I had a BBQ tempeh and I'm stuffed! Bread was delicious, barbeque sauce was great, and service was outstanding.

Meh. The service is pretty lackadaisical. I hate that they make your sub in secret somewhere in the back, especially after reading the reviews on their problems with cleanliness. Subs should be made where you can see them. I thought it was odd that the place was empty at lunchtime on a Saturday. They over loaded my sub with so much mustard I couldn't taste anything else. Maybe that was for the best. Now that Jersey Mike's is down the road, we'll never be back.

I actually never ate here because the sign looked kind of cheap like it would be a gross sub shop, boy was I wrong! It's by far my favorite sandwich place now. Usually I get the bacon/ranch or buffalo chicken. Love that they're warm. Had the pizza last time and it was just as incredible. Never had anything I didn't like, never busy, and they deliver! Love this places and recommend them to everyone.

I've been going to planet sub since Yellow Sub in Lawrence, Kansas. This planet sub has to be the worst I've ever been to because the "the planet sub" I ordered was the worst I've ever had and they say they deliver but if you call they will just set the phone down, so you can hear other people ordering while you wait...and never pick the phone back up. What kind of second-rate nonsense is that? It has to be the worst customer service ever. I had to call back, they answered, I let them know I needed to order a delivery, and they said people were ordering in store, so I would have to wait. In what world does that make sense? Don't offer delivery if you're not going to handle it like EVERY OTHER establishment on the planet. No pun intended. I will not be back.

I went to the Planet Sub in Liberty and really enjoyed the variety and vegetarian options. I'm a diabetic, my partner is a vegan, and my best friend has food allergies to watch, so I brought them to the one in Blue Springs specifically for the menu potential, as we live in Independence. I'm wishing I had driven to Liberty instead. The shop looked like it was being renovated, with dust on the ground and a volume level beyond my liking. In spite of this, we powered through the massive menu and made our orders. In Liberty I was addressed courteously, but the cashier here seemed less than interested in serving a group of hungry folk with dietary restrictions. We ordered three drinks with our meals and went to the fountain to fill them. First thing I noticed was that the ice machine was pouring water and the ice that came out was partially melted. I didn't think much of it, until my partner pulled a piece of ice out with a patch of black gunk frozen inside. There was mold in the machine and it had gone straight into our drinks. Repulsed, I presented one of the cubes to the cashier, whom said he couldn't do anything about it and said we could get bottles drinks instead. By now we were frustrated and disgusted by the service, and did not want to stick around. I asked for a refund, as our orders had not been delivered yet, and the cashier actually rolled his eyes while impatiently tacking away at the screen. I was repulsed by this and the state of the place. I won't be returning to that location.

I worked at planet sub when i was a teenager and my family and i loved it. We ate it all the time. We use to come to this planet sub alot over the last few years. Lately not as much. When we walked in today it looks like they are going out of business or something. Nothing on the walls and only partially painted walls. I noticed on the menu they have romaine wraps on their menu which is great due to my low carb diet. I was excited to try theirs. On the menu it says recommended cold so i assumed they would give me my lettuce wrap cold but boy was i wrong they served me a lettuce wrap with hot lettuce. Who wants to eat hot lettuce and cucumbers that is terrible. My turkey wrap fell apart instantly and tasted like tuna. Which i figure is because the person i came with order their tuna sandwich and was probably prepared in the same spot. Gross. The wrap had no mayo or mustard or anything so was very dry. Since it fell apart i asked for a fork becuase they were out at the condiment center and ended up eating my wrap with a fork. Minus the hot lettuce. The quality of service has definitely declinded and im extremely disappointed. I will not be back.

The food was okay but nothing special. What really bothered me was the service. The girl acted like we were bothering her while we looked at the menu. There was no one else in the store and she acted like we were holding her up. When our sandwiches were done ( we had ordered to go), she practically threw the bag at us. Will not be going back and will tell friends to stay away.
